Taybah Foundation for Development ( TFD ):

Taybah Foundation for Development is a Yemeni development institution working in the areas of health and education. It was established in 1996 under the licence of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. 25.  Taybah seeks to provide quality health and education services in partnership and cooperation with all concerned and interested parties in accordance with the development plans of local authorities..

Purpose of the Position:

To lead, coordinate and implement the activities of the Cholera Project through effective field and technical management. This includes epidemiological surveillance, support for health teams, and ensuring adherence to national and international cholera control protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of project interventions to reduce cholera transmission at border points.
  • Works with the MEAL department to monitor and evaluate the objectives, indicators and outcomes and ensure accurate and timely data collection at the field level.
  • Works with other departments such as logistic and finance to implement and follow up the project’s activities.
  • Review and analyze daily/monthly reports from field teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.
  • Works closely with related stakeholders to facilitate the work and implement the activities at the field.
  • Ensure compliance with MoPHO and WHO cholera control protocols.
  • Ensure efficient supply and use of cholera response materials (RDTs, PPEs, ORS, etc.)
  • Work closely with the field teams to determine the operational needs.
  • Frequent supervision field health teams and travel to the field.
  • Working effectively as team member and solve staff problems whenever occur.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the foundation.
  • Maintain open lines of communications with all staff.
  • Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibility as and when needed
  • Carry out any duties assigned by the direct supervisor as part of the job scope.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine with qualification in Public Health (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience working as project manager and outbreak response project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of cholera transmission, clinical and community management.
  • Strong skills in reporting, supervision, and partner coordination
  • Previous experience working on supervisory roles
  • Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations.
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially with MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong English language speaking and writing abilities
