Action Contre la Faim is an International
Humanitarian Organization established in 1979 with the mission to save lives by
combating hunger through prevention, detection and treatment of malnutrition,
in particular during and after emergency situations caused by conflict and
natural disasters. Action Contre la Faim provides coordinated responses in
nearly 50 countries including Yemen globally within 7 field of expertise which
includes Nutrition and Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Food Security,
Mental Health Care Practices, Gender and Protection, Advocacy, Risk and
Disaster Management and Research.
ACF has been operational in Yemen since 2012 and is operational in 4 bases
(Aden, Hodeida, Al khokha and Sanaa). The mission implements its activities
which are centred on 3 sectors, Nutrition and Health, Water, Sanitation and
Hygiene (WASH), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support and Protection
(MHPSS-P).

Position Summary
Provide administrative support to the management of visas,
travel permits, translation of official documents to maintain and ensure smooth
relationship between ACF and relevant authorities in relation to ACF operational
activities.
Objective 1: Management of Visas/Residence Permits for
Expat Staff
- Assist
the Sr. Liaison Officer with administrative tasks required for expat entry
visa, residency, exit reentry, final exit & extensions with all
engaged authorities specifically with the Ministry of Health (MOH),
Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian
Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) & National Security
(NS).
Objective 2: Translation and Submission of
Documents
- Submit
any official letters (Sub-agreements, Reports, Authorities’ letters, Visa
Requests, etc.) and relevant documentation as requested by the authorities
and ensure that ACF activities are facilitated within the legal and
accepted practices in Yemen.
- Support
in drafting official correspondence to government bodies in Arabic and
maintain an accurate reference number tracker of all outgoing
communication.
Objective 3: Preparing, Submitting Travel Permit Requests
for Approval
- Support
in preparing and submitting travel permit requests and ensuring that all
administrative procedures and approvals are communicated to the requesters
on time
Objective 4: Submission and follow up on Security related
Procurement Lines
- Provide
administrative support and follow up to procurements raised by
Humanitarian Access and Security/Liaison Units

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
- Degree/Diploma
in social sciences or any relevant field;
- Proven
management and coordination skills (HR, projects, and stress management);
- Excellent
written and spoken English, including the ability to write clear and
engaging reports;
- Ability
to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with respect for
diversity;
- Planning
and organization skills with the capacity to pay attention to details;
- Proficient
in Microsoft Office Applications;
- Excellent
communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in
English and Arabic;
- Experience
in establishing working relationships with authorities, preferably;
- Capacity
to work as a team and liaise with other departments to ensure effective
communication;
